This is your mission

The training operations of the Swedish Security Service are entering an exciting phase of development and are now looking for you, an engaged leader motivated by change work and leading through change. Together, you will closely collaborate with employees and fellow managers to build and develop the Security Service's training operations.

As a group manager, you are responsible for the operations, staff, and work environment. You lead and distribute the group's work, ensure that employees thrive, and create team spirit, motivation, and engagement. The group's competence is in demand, and sometimes prioritization, flexibility, and quick deliveries are required.

In the role of group manager, you are part of the unit's management team, where great importance is placed on contributing to a unified and clear leadership. From a holistic perspective, you work together to drive the unit forward and ensure that the operations develop in accordance with the authority's overarching goals and needs. You also have budget responsibility within the framework of your assignment.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you cannot work remotely. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur.

The qualifications we seek in you

We are looking for you who have:

  • Police degree
  • Several years of relevant experience in training operations from the Police Authority or the Security Service
  • Good knowledge of the Security Service's mission and organization
  • Long-term relevant experience in developing and implementing new concepts, capability needs, and training with good results
  • Several years of experience in training and instructing
  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role with a similar focus
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

The employment requires Swedish citizenship.

You who apply may also have competencies that provide breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:

  • Experience and knowledge in digital learning platforms
  • Exercise management
  • Good subject knowledge in either weapons, vehicles, or physical protection techniques
  • Experience in leading through change

You prioritize and make the necessary decisions and adjust them based on changing conditions. In your role as a manager, you act as a role model.

You give employees the freedom to take active responsibility within clear frameworks and address problems that arise and remove obstacles. In your role as a manager, you support other leaders and contribute to a unified and clear leadership. You promote collaboration and have a positive expectation of others, creating a safe, open climate with the intention of understanding others' perspectives and good intentions.

You coach, support, challenge, and provide feedback with personal care. Furthermore, you are attentive and reflect on your own leadership, share knowledge, experiences, and motivate others to do the same.

Employment conditions and benefits

Employment at the Security Service involves placement in a security class that requires Swedish citizenship. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime.
